Rebecca Daniel - Manager

BA (hons) Early Childhood Studies.

CACHE Level 3 in Child Care and Education

Paediatric First Aid



With over 10 years experience of working in early years, Rebecca has wide range of knowledge and skills around supporting children of all ages in a variety of different roles. Rebecca was appointed as manager in July 2017.

 
Recent training has included GDPR, Making sense of autism – Tier 1&3, Safer Recruitment, the importance of Self-Evaluation, preparing for Ofsted and implementing the characteristics of effective learning. 


Also responsible for Health and safety and achieving positive behaviour as well as acting as the settings Special educational needs co-coordinator SENCo.

 Christina Hicklin - Deputy Manager

BA (hons) Early childhood studies

Level 3 in Early Years 

Paediatric First Aid 


Christina has worked with children in full time day nurseries completing her honours degree in Early Childhood studies in 2011.

Her most recent training includes Maths – Outdoors, School Readiness, Literacy Outdoors, Characteristics of effective learning.

Christina has a strong interest in forest school and enjoys planning for and delivering woodland based activities. Chrstina will be working in our woodland holiday club.

Acts as our Designated Safeguarding lead for children (DSL). 

 Claire Hourigan - Practitioner

Level 4 Certificate in Early Years 

Paediatric First Aid

Claire is an experienced and qualified practitioner who joined the preschool in 2017. Claire has been working in childcare for 15 years.


Her most recent training includes, Signalong, Maths – Outdoors, Making sense of autism/Good Autism Practice Tier 1,2&3.


Claire is our deputy SENCo, she has supported lots of children with a variety of additional needs and has an in depth knowledge into lots of areas of SEN.


Rona McGlone - Pre-School Practitioner 

NVQ Level 3 in Child Care 

Rona has previously worked at the Pre School for many years before taking some time out to bring up her two children. Rona has returned in September 2018 and has since taken back on her role as a key person and also working with children who require some additional support.

Rona has recently attended the EYFS 5 session program refreshing her knowledge around implementing and using the curriculum to support individual children with their learning and development. 

 Charlotte Dunnington - Practitioner 

BA/Hons Early Childhood Studies 

Level 3 in Child Care & Education

Paediatric First Aid

Charlotte is a highly Qualified Practitioner, and has worked in various nurseries as well as working as a nanny. 

 Her recent training includes, Spaces to be 2, Are you ready for me now I am two, Literacy Outdoors & putting the Wellcomm screening tool into practice.

Charlotte is our 2 year coordinator and has an excellent knowledge in providing engaging activities that promote personal, social and emotional development in young children. 
Charlotte also plans for and leads our sports sessions on Thursday afternoons.
Charlotte will be starting her journey to becoming an Early Years Teacher in the Autumn term 2019

 In addition, all staff have received training on the way we deliver our new planning style 'In the moment', relevant Early years foundation stage training and updates, paediatric first aid, food hygiene and the safeguarding of children.
