Rebecca Daniel - Manager

BA (hons) Early Childhood Studies.

Early Years Professional Status (EYPS)  

CACHE Level 3 in Child Care and Education

With over 10 years experience of working in early years, was appointed as manager in July 2017. 

Recent training has included Making sense of early years data, GDPR, Making sense of autism – Tier 1&3
Safer Recruitment, the importance of Self-Evaluation.

Also responsible for Health and safety and Achieving positive behaviour as well as acting as the settings Special educational needs co-coordinator SENCo.

Jacqui Taggart - Deputy Manager


 Jacqui has been qualified in working with children since 2006 and was appointed as deputy manager here at AEPP in 2009. 

Recent training has included - Spaces to be 2, Are you ready for me now I am two, Signalong and Designated Safeguarding clusters.

Acts as our Designated Safeguarding lead for children (DSL). Jacqui also works primarily with our 2 year olds, where she supports their transition into pre-school and offers a high level of care and learning around the prime areas of the EYFS. 

 Claire Hourigan - Practitioner

Level 4 Certificate in Early Years 

Claire is an experienced and qualified practitioner who joined the preschool in 2017. Claire has been working in childcare for 15 years.

Her most recent training includes, Signalong, Maths – Outdoors, Making sense of autism/Good Autism Practice Tier 1,2&3.

Claire is our deputy SENCo, she has supported lots of children with a variety of additional needs and has an in depth knowledge into lots of areas of SEN.

 Christina Hicklin - Practitioner

BA (hons) Early childhood studies

Christina has worked with children in full time day nurseries completing her honours degree in Early Childhood studies in 2011.

Her most recent training includes Maths – Outdoors, School Readiness, Literacy Outdoors, Characteristics of effective learning.

Christina has a strong interest in forest school and enjoys planning for and delivering woodland based activities. 

 Katie Rowley  - Practitioner 

Btec National Diploma in Childcare Studies level 3

Katie has a Btec National Diploma in Childcare Studies level 3. 

Her most recent training includes, Maths outdoors, Characteristics of effective learning, School readiness and promoting positive behaviour. 

Katie supports our 3/4 year olds and has a wide range of knowledge around delivering our phonics program 'read write inc' and preparing children for their transition into school. Katie enjoys assisting with out forest school sessions and messy play!

 In addition, all staff have received training on the way we deliver our new planning style 'In the moment', relevant Early years foundation stage training and updates, paediatric first aid, food hygiene and the safeguarding of children.

 Charlotte Dunnington - Practitioner 

BA/Hons Early Childhood Studies 

Charlotte is a highly Qualified Practitioner, and has worked in various nurseries as well as working as a nanny. 

 Her recent training includes, Spaces to be 2, Are you ready for me now I am two, Literacy Outdoors & Tier 2 Autism

Charlotte supports our 2 year old's and has an excellent knowledge in providing engaging activities that promote personal, social and emotional development in young children. 
Charlotte also plans for and leads our sports sessions on Thursday afternoons.
Charlotte is interested in completing Early Years Teacher status.
